Desperate Housewives

Desperate Housewives is my all-time favorite television show. Have you ever seen it? It used to be on Netflix, but if you haven't watched it already on there, then you've missed your chance. I was so sad when they took it off Netflix, I might have actually cried a little. Hulu has it though, but I don't pay for Hulu. I want to tell you about Desperate Housewives. Okay, first off it's not one of those Real Housewives of whatever. Those are annoying and pointless (sorry if you like them). Desperate Housewives is not a reality show. Just to clear that up because every time I'd talk about it people think it's real housewives of blah blah blah. It's a pretty long (but not long enough) television series that you will get hooked on immediately. The show has elements of drama, comedy, and heart-felt moments. It all happens on Wisteria Lane. This is where the main characters live. They're all neighbors on a nice suburban street. They each have their set of families, houses, cars and lots and lots of problems (it's a tv show). I'll start with Lynette. She's my favorite. She's a blonde, mid-40's mom, married to Tom and has 5 kids by the end of the show. She goes through phases of working a job then being a part time mom then back to working a job. She's funny and witty and definitely always concerned with the well-being of her family. I just love Lynette. And her husband Tom is one of my favorite guys on the show as well. He's really funny. Okay next is Susan. She is divorced and has a teenage daughter. She's really pretty, but always has trouble dating guys. Then Mike moves in next door and they fall in love and eventually getting married and have a son together. Mike is awesome. I don't know exactly how to describe him but he's muscular and tan and the outdoorsy type. He's a construction worker or something like that, but he does well for himself. He's kind of mysterious, but doesn't try to be. He's very sweet and there's no way anyone can't like him. Plus he's soooo cute. Okay then there's Gabby and Carlos. Carlos is wealthy and works a good job and spoils his wife Gabby. She's a very pretty latino and used to be a model. She's the one who doesn't want kids and just wants to shop and stuff all day. She's so funny and a little ridiculous, but like I said all the characters are really lovable. Carlos and Gabby compromise and end up having kids and her life turns out completely not how she would have expected. Brie is another one of the women who lives on Wisteria Lane. She is basically the perfect mom, housewife, baker, and anything else you can imagine. Or so everyone thinks. She does everything perfectly and properly and brings a muffin basket pretty much everywhere she goes. She always looks neat and tidy and expects the same from others. But everyones lives are exactly what they seem. Lynette has trouble raising her kids sometimes, as they all do. Gabby ends up not having the life she thought. Brie goes through a few different husbands and they Susan deals with divorce as well. They all go through situations involving lying, killing, backstabbing, mistrust, and so many other things. But the girls all stay together and have their wine and poker nights and I love every second of it. It's really good and suspenseful and funny and I think I've watched it 4 or 5 times over. It's my definition of a perfect tv show.
